Your instructors are a core part of your studio’s identity. Setting them up in Clovo ensures they’re properly assigned to classes, visible to clients, and able to access the features they need.
Adding an instructor
- In Clovo Studio, go to Setup > Instructors.
- Click Add Instructor.
- Enter the instructor’s name and email address.
- Add a profile photo and optional bio — these are shown to clients in the app and on your landing page.
- Save the instructor profile.
How instructors are used in Clovo
- Schedule assignment — when creating schedule entries, you assign one or more instructors to each class
- Client visibility — clients can see which instructor is teaching each class before they book
- Substitutions — if an instructor can’t make a class, you can assign a substitute for that specific opening
- Trainer profiles — instructors can have detailed profiles that are showcased to clients. See trainer profiles for more details.
Instructors vs. staff
Instructors and staff are separate concepts in Clovo. Instructors are people who teach classes and appear on your timetable. Staff are people who have access to Clovo Studio to help manage your business (e.g. front desk, admin). An instructor can also be a staff member — see add staff to your studio for details on staff accounts.
