Send a form to a client in the Clovo app

Tobias Gundry

Updated

Send a self-service form when you want a client to provide information from their own device. Clovo places the request in the client’s Forms area and sends a push notification and email using the studio’s notification settings.

The Forms tab on a client profile with the Request form menu open and a form waiting for the client

Send the request

  1. In Clovo Dashboard, open Clients.
  2. Select the client, then open the Forms tab.
  3. Select Request form.
  4. Choose the form to send.

Only active forms with Self-service turned on appear in this menu. If the form is staff-only, open it with Fill in a form and complete it from the dashboard instead.

Clovo confirms that the form was sent. The client sees the request in the Clovo app under Forms, in the To fill in section. A form request is specific to that client, so the same form can be sent to other clients when needed.

What the client sees

The client can open Forms from the account menu. The You tab can also show an A form to fill in card when there is one outstanding request.

The client opens the form, answers each required question and selects Submit form. The form supports text, numbers, prices, dates, tick boxes, multiple choice, scales, yes/no answers and signatures. The client cannot submit while a required question is unanswered.

After submission, the form moves to Completed in the client’s app. On the client profile, the status changes to Client completed. Open the completed form to review the answers or download its PDF.

If the client needs help

If the notification is not visible, ask the client to open Account → Forms in the Clovo app. The outstanding request is listed there even when they have missed the notification.

If the form is not listed on the dashboard’s Request form menu, check that it is not archived and that Self-service is turned on in the Form Builder.

While a request is waiting, you can open it on the client’s Forms tab and choose one of these actions:

  • Fill in on their behalf closes the request and records the completed form as staff-entered.
  • Cancel request removes the waiting request from the client’s app so you can send it again later.
