Cancel a client membership

Use the membership cancellation action when a client asks to stop a recurring membership. Review any contract terms before confirming the cancellation.
Cancel the membership
- Open the client’s profile.
- Open the active membership you want to stop.
- Select Cancel membership.
- Read the cancellation summary, including the proposed cancellation date and any contract message.
- Confirm the cancellation.
Understand contract restrictions
A membership can have a minimum membership duration and a cancellation notice period. These terms apply when a member cancels from their own account. Staff can approve an earlier exit from the dashboard; the membership then ends at the end of its current billing period without adding the notice period. See Set a minimum membership term and cancellation notice period.
- The client can continue to have access until the scheduled end date.
- Future renewals are stopped once the cancellation is confirmed.
- Check the membership’s contract and the client’s upcoming bookings before agreeing on an end date.
After cancelling
Reopen the membership to confirm its status and end date. If the client changes their mind before the end date, use the membership actions shown there to review whether it can be restored.
